This is about the struggle of the Sudanese refugees
lyrics
FLEE FROM TERROR TO BE EATEN BY LIONS
Hell on earth, war ensues
Instinctual survival skills
Run or be killed
Blindly into the night
Far from the fight
Leaving everything behind
Family and friends
lost, presumed dead
Horrors told by other victims
No prisoners or bribes, just genocide
Only the fastest runners survived
Exiled to the harsh elements to starve and die
Abandon all hope, abandon the country
March for months to be turned away
No compassion, no humanity
More brutality
No peace
Defenseless, stuck in between
No one wants the refugees
Forced to hide
Abandoned to die
Pushed to the wilderness
Growing numbers, the helpless displaced
Rumors of humanitarian aid
Death comes to all who
are injured or slow and tired
Miles of children
A feast for the lions
No choice but to keep on
Don't listen to the bones crunching
Fear, despair, desperation
Sick from exhaustion
Destination
Hope
Rest and nourished,
Nursed back to health
Kindness and love
Help from a stranger
The opportunity to start living life again
in America
Only to find more of the same
Pushed away
Racism, crime, drug addiction
A whole new set of problems
Slave wages, college debt
Crushing all hope left
Void, emptiness,
this soulless culture doesn't heal
Beaten, robbed, killed

Vthelygmia is not as brutal and remorseless as the bandname and album cover would make you think - it goes far beyond that. These 28 minutes feel like being slaughtered, hacked to bits, gutted, and fully disintegrated afterwards. A wild combination of influences, you will hear elements of black and death metal, deathcore (especially in the excellent production and vocal department), some disturbing ambience and slight touches of doom. Immensely violent, utterly satisfying, and just brilliant. David Fischer
